Do these words, from ‘Captain Wilcock’ of ‘Coconut Airways’ appear familiar? You would have to be of a certain age to remember them, being a lyric taken from a 1975 UK #1 single called ‘Barbados’, by one-hit wonders Typically Tropical. Pretty much disposable in itself, it nonetheless conveys the sultry climate of the tiny, beautiful Caribbean island of Barbados with accuracy and a certain degree of charm!
