Bahia Principe San Juan

Located on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic this hotel is a comfortable distance from cities such as Cabarete, Sosúa and Puerto Plata. It was opened in July 1995 and is set on a 5-km private beach which is sheltered by a coral reef. It covers an area of over one and a half million square metres and is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation with mangrove swamps. There are a number of tropical gardens which are the setting for little lanes along which guests can walk while enjoying the sea breeze and the freshness of the natural surroundings.

Facilities

There are 2 lake-type swimming pools with children's section, one of which has a Jacuzzi and an activity swimming pool. You'll be able to practice motorised and non-motorised water sports: windsurfing, catamarans, sunfish, kayaking and boogie boards. As well as having the opportunity to learn to dive, play tennis, football or volleyball, take bodybuilding, aerobics and merengue classes, play basketball, volleyball, mini golf and tennis. Enjoy the wide range of cuisine at any of our seven different-style restaurants with international buffet, four a la carte speciality restaurants and fast food snack bar. The hotel has eleven bars: six on the beach and four in the hotel swimming pool area.

Accommodation

There are 941 rooms, all are fully-equipped standard doubles, distributed among villas which are between 20 and 150 metres from the beach.

Standard Rooms are spacious and have two beds or a double bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, fully equipped bathroom, hairdryer, cable and satellite television, direct outside telephone line, hired safe, cots (by prior request), mini bar and balcony or terrace.
