Inspired by the romance of ocean travel, and reminiscent of a private cabin on an upscale yacht, Hudson's 1000 guest rooms - most with gorgeous views of the Private Park - have walls richly paneled in imported African wood, flowing white curtains, sleek stainless steel tables, crisp white linens, brass-riveted furniture and Starck's modern take on the classic U.S. Naval chair. Bedside lamps with allegorical images designed by renowned painter Francesco Clemente lend a spirit of dreamlike fantasy to the room.

A chic alternative to stodgy ballrooms and staid conference rooms, two entire floors at Hudson are dedicated exclusively to business and private entertaining. It features a glass floor lit from beneath, a hand painted ceiling by world-renowned artist Francesco Clemente, and furniture design that looks like Louis XV meets 2001: A Space Odyssey. Reminiscent of an old English club or drawing room, the Library is the perfect cozy hangout for relaxing by the enormous fireplace, chatting and drinking with friends, shooting billiards, playing a computer game, or reading a book from its extensive collection on topics ranging from film, theater, fashion and art, to travel and politics. An artful blend of old and new, the Library features an antique billiards table, classic English leather sofas and wing chairs, and antique area rugs residing alongside cyber-desks fitted with state-of-the-art laptop computers.

In the heart of the elevated lobby is an enchanting Private Park with towering 45-foot trees, ivy-covered walls, and an inspired assortment of antique and modern garden furniture.
